Skyler had a playdate today with the sister of one of Archer's school friends. They are renting a house just two blocks down the road. They are a British family. He had a good time and we will do more playdates with with both kids now. They have a much better house and yard. Makes me realize how nice this place would be with out the pink or white carpet and with wood floors throughout. They get transferred all over the world (just came from Hong Kong on a short notice) and never know where they will be next or when. That is hard. So Ill remember that when I am homesick. Skyler took my photo to the left.
They also have an Orange tree, so I played my cards right and left with a bag full! Skyler squeezed them for me and then announced it tasted awful. I thought it was the best OJ ever! Perfect! So Im searching for Orange recipes now... and I hear a lady in class has a Grapefruit tree... hmmmm
Tonight we went to the Lego Club at the Lego store at the mall in Santa Clara. Dont know where that is, I took a highway through Cupertino though. Maybe it was San Jose. Huge, very nice mall.
Like five Cherry Creek Malls all together with a really large outdoor mall (Santana Row) next to it. Santana Row looked like Southlands on speed. I was able to use the Carpool lane thanks to the kids (yes, in California they count as a "Person", unlike in Colorado) otherwise I would have been stuck in the infamous Cali traffic jam up. The Lego Club was something I promised the boys, so we will be over there often for events and maybe will get to explore past the Lego store and Cinnabon next time. Not that Im complaining... This is them having Dinner & a Movie Friday night on the left and at the mall tonight with the hearts they made at Lego Club. And yes, Im fully aware that Lego Club is their lame attempt to just get kids in the store to beg their parents to buy another $129 Lego Set. Geez, I just said Lego like 50 times. They are adjusting very well though, and are really happy. Although they would love to play Wii with all your children any chance they can!!
As you may have heard, Google has the ocean (bottom of) mapped on the new Google Earth program. It is a very big deal, I guess. If you havent used Google Earth, give it a try, it is pretty neat. And by pretty neat, I mean awsome.
The weather here has been so beautiful, I dont know how to explain it. It is humid, but just enough to be cool in the shade and wear a fleece. But the temp is the mid 70s. It feels like Spring, and with all the flowers and trees blooming, maybe it is here. I pick flowers each week with Skyler.I try and send a photo of them to friends, who if they lived nearby I would bring them to. So if I send you some of my digital flowers, I was thinking of you! I try and sit outside and read for the 15 minutes twice a week I dont have the kids here. So nice in the sun!
Lego club? Cool!

Here's a quick funkey walk through:
ReplyDeleteYOu need to get gemshards to stop master lox. you do that by playing the games REALLY well. Updates are added every couple months, and more will add to the game. Every funkey can unlock a new game, and a new clubhouse, and a new portal. I'll tell you more later. (best to check Robyn's blog, www.ubfunkeysarefun.blogspot.com
Hope I helped,
