We also discovered a peach and pear tree on the other side of the house. Unfortunately the squirrels got to them before they were ripe and took all but few of them. But a Lemon Tree? Im constantly getting them from the neighbors and have a million uses for Lemons. Very exciting!
We planted lots of tomato, peppers and basil earlier and just added rosemary, cilantro and lavender.

Many think the fruit of the poor Lemon Tree is impossible to eat (Peter, Paul & Mary 1960s) but not so. My friend Judy and I were best buddies growing up and loved to eat raw lemons that were salted. She moved away to California and wrote to me that she had a lemon tree growing in her front yard. Needless to say, I was very jealous! To this day, I eat raw lemons. Karen (aka Mom)
